Just a quick share today seen as I haven't posted on my blog for ages. I am positive I haven't shared this page as yet on here. This page was made for my mum to give to my Aunty for her 50th, it now lives in a scrapbooking picture frame on my Aunty's wall. Thank god they were all in love with it too. Sorry not the best photos think it was all of the detail and dimensions of the page it I just couldn't get a good photo of it. Some detail shots

Should have some other layouts to share soon just have to get around to photographing them.

I have a little toot today! I have a page in this months Scrapbooking Memories magazine (Vol12 No8) in the christmas section of the gallery. Always exciting to see your work in print, it is the first time I have been in this magazine.
Ok some Design Team stuff to share now...
For this months newsletter over at Ideal Papercraft I got to work with Bo Bunny Block Party.
I have to admit these really aren't the type of papers I would buy and am never interested in but every now and then I enjoy a challenge and I am very happy with the outcome.
This first page is definately my favourite out of the three. Loved using some of the photos I took of Cooper rolling over. Some detail, sorry about the not so good shots it has been very overcast here.

Everyone loves all of the photos that I have taken of my son and ask if I do it for a living.... So I guess now I can kind of say yes, but more as a hobby for the moment. I'm Back, I have been very busy!

Well I have been a little AWOL from my blog.... But I have been very busy.

Firstly I have been organising my 30th party (which was last Friday night, and I had a great night too!) I turnt 30 today!!! I have had my parents stay and heaps of running around the place.

In between all of this I have been doing some crocheting, I plan on putting some of it in my Etsy store to see how it goes along with a few other things.

This is one of the little cute beanies I have made. Everytime I put it on my son Everyone asks me where I got it from and I mean I have been getting stopped on the street to be asked! I think the model is pretty darn cute too though!

And also this cute beanie for my daughter, she just thinks she is beautiful in it! On the Scrapping front, this month for Ideal Papercraft I got to work with October Afternoon's The Thrift Shop. I LOVE October Afternoon's paper's, I think O say that everytime but I really do love their ranges they are definately my favourite brand.... anlong with a few closely following behind. Well here are the pages I have done with the papers.

The first page is to tell the story of my kids coming home layette, Ohhh I wish they would stay this little! Why do they have to grow up????

This next page is to record all of my DD favourite songs that she loves to sing, she definately loves to sing along to herself all the time.... as I am typing this I can hear her playing and singing along!

The last page I have to share I have borrowed an Idea from the fabulous American scrapper Ali Edwards. I have included a photo of all of us at two years of age just so people can see that our daughter looks like the both of us. I will do the same thing when my son turns two.

And lastly a not so spectacular card, but a card at least using all the scraps I had left over.

Ideal Papercraft Newsletter for May

Sorry it is abit late posting this, but anyway..... This month for Ideal Papercraft I got to work with Pink Paislee 365 degrees, I absolutely loved it I just had to keep scrapping until it was all used up. It was perfect for our holiday photos too.
Well this first page is from when we visited the Temple of Heaven in China last year.
OMG!! I can't believe it is nearly 12 months ago that we went.... where does the time go. Some detail shots for you.Love these alphas from Prima.

The pleated ribbon in this range is tooo yummy wish I had of bought more!!!

These photos were taken of Lily and me on the merry-go-round at Hong Kong Disneyland.

I just love these photos of my little girl. She was actually getting her bum changed while we were at the Temple of Heaven.The way she was just laying back ever so relaxed I just had to take some photos.

Some detail shots, I just loved the big chunky gem brads that go with the collection.

Another page using photos from our holiday last year to Hong Kong and China. These photos were taken when we went on our day trip to Macau.

Some of the border stickers from the range, and I just had to use every bit of the red and white patterned paper.(I put it on every page!)

The Colour Room Palette #4

Have you seen this fabulous new challenge blog? It is called The Colur Room
they have a gorgeous new palette of colours every Friday this is #4, so this week I had a little bit more time for free scrapping so I decided to play along. This is what I came up with, I really struggled with not putting much on the page it still feels kind of bear to me, so it could end up with something else on it yet.

This photo is a photo I wnated to take myself but it is a bit hard to take the photo when I wanted my own hands in the photo, so I enlisted the help from my brother and told him where to stand and what I wanted exactly and how to use my camera and hey presto! I love what he ended up with. Another of the ever building mountains of photo that I just have to scrap because I love the photo.Here is a little more detailed photo.

Well I'm off I want to give a few other challenges a go seen as I don't get to do them very often. My help my mojo come back a bit too.

This month's Sketch Challenge at Ideal Papercraft.

This month I got to set the sketch challenge over at Ideal Papercraft (formerly known as The Scrapbook Establishment) I decided that I wanted to do a sketch to use up all of the excess of scrap pieces of paper that we all have left over after every layout that we do. For this whole page I have only used scraps I didn't once use a new sheet of 12x12 patterened paper (apart from the cardstock of course!) This the sketch I came up with..... And here is my example..........................

I also used lots of the left overs of embellishments I have everywhere, I kind of saw it as a recycling page, to use up some of my mountains of leftovers I have.

Here are some more detailed photos for you.... The doilies I have recycled from old vintage doilies I have collected same as the doilie trim at the bottom of the photo.

This next page is one my favourite photo of all time. It is of my mum's parents when they were on their honeymoon way back in 1955, I just love how young and gorgeous they are and how in love they look. They just look like a hollywood movie star couple.

I have used Basic Grey Nook and Pantry papers for this page, I just love the vintage feel of these papers wish I had of bought more than I did.

Detail shot, that butterfly is from a necklace that I cut up years ago the same as that little cream rose on the left.

More detail, Just love Prima flowers they are always to die for!

I have decided to open up an Etsy store, so I have been busy the past few days sewing these up. So to celebrate this I am going to be giving one of these beauties away to one of my lucky blog readers.I will give you the details of how you could win one of these later on in the week once I have them all made so you will have to stay tuned.(It won't be hard!)
What do you think of them so far? I personally want to keep one of each for myself. Have only done up a few different ones for the moment, just to see how they sell. If they are successful then of course I will make up some new ones. I have decided that I am only going to be making a few of each combo, that way they will be even more unquie.
In this first photo the 2 on the bottom left aren't quite finished just yet they need their flowers and buttons attached to them, but I put them in the photo so you all got the idea of the colours I have done so far.

This next photo are of the other combos I have made, I just have to finish sewing them up and adding the pretties onto them and they will be ready to sell . But once again it is to give you an idea of the combos that will be for sale.Ok and finally I will share one of the pages I have been promising, the other 2 still haven't been photographed yet. Who loves this as much as do?????

I decided to get creative yesterday and make myself a camera strap cover, and now I'm in love and want to make all diffent ones now. I am considering starting an Etsy store and making them to sell what do you think??? I would LOVE some feedback from you all. I would probably be charging around $10 - $20 mark for them depending on what is on them, what colours would you like to see?? I think my next one is going to bright and maybe some embroidery, the possibilities are endless.

scrappy stuff to share

This card is for the april cybercrop going on over at Ideal Papercraft
I have set the card challenge if you are interested in giving it ago head on over there.

These next 3 pages I have used Pink Paislee Cupid papers I have now done 4 pages from that range, I fell in love with it so much that I wanted to keep using it until it was all gone. I only have a few scraps left to make a card or two with. This photo was taken in hospital the day Cooper came home. A photo that I just had to scrap like many many more to come.

These photos were taken the day before I had Cooper, actually an hour before DH took me to the hospital infact. My last photo as a mummy of one.

This is a Kaisercraft Memo board that I bought last year and have finally gotten around to making, I have used the Kaisercraft Peachy Keen papers on it. I don't overly enjoy doing off the page projects but I am happy with the end result and now I have somewhere to hang my keys up too. Sorry about the reflection it was overcast so I had to use the flash.

Well i will probably be back to share another 2 or 3 pages in the next day or two. I could have some other exciting news by then too, if not you will just have to wait until it is all organised properly.

Do you remember this page? Here is a little sneak. Well I just got the email today from Scrapbooking Memories to say that they want to publish it. Naturally I am over the moon and had a little jump for joy and shock. So off to the post office I go tomorrow to send it off!Here is a photo of my little man that I just had to share. He laughed for the first time today, isn't he just gorgeous! I know I'm biased!!! Those blue eyes are just irresistible too!

New Basic Grey Nook & Pantry page.

I have actually been getting a fair bit of scrapping done these past 2 weeks, The gorgeous Carolyn came over last week and we scrapped for about 6 hours while our kids played it was a great day. This is the page I did on that day using the gorgoeous Basic Grey Nook & Pantry papers, as weel as a little golden book page and I finally broke into one of my Prima vines that I have been to scared to use up because they are Just Tooooooo Pretty. I love the end result.And this page is for my latest kit for Fancy That Scrapbooking should be available in store very soon. Used Jenni Bowlin papers and Alphas. LOVE these alphas I must say. My little man Cooper is now 2 months old, I can not believe how quickly this has gone. He is smiling and gooing and lifts and holds his head so strong. He is beautiful( I'm Biased I know!)

Finally something to share!

You will never believe it, but I have been managing to find a little time here and there to get some scrapping done. I feel sooooooo much better for it too!!! I think that we are slowly getting ourselves into a routine and getting back to normal. Ok here is my latest page I have done using the gorgeous Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly range, I have also been trying to use my stash alot more than normal so I dug out one of the KI Memories Sheer Delights, I love these! I am very happy with the finished result come out better than what was in my head, you have always got to love that.

A few things to share.

I haven't been doing a lot of Scrapping lately, as we are still trying to get back to normal with a newborn in the house and family staying time just disappears. So I have only been doing my few pages required for TSE. This card was for this weeks newsletter, all of us design team had to make an Autumn inspired card, I made this for my baby cousin Nathan, who turned 21 at the end of January. This next page was for the cybercrop this was my challenge. You had to use a song title as your page title, as well as 2 photos and some chipboard embellishments.

Well this about all that I am able to share at the moment, but hopefully I can manage to get more scrapping done in March as things are slowly settling downand getting 5 mins here and there now. Well until next time thanks for taking the time to take a look and leave comments.

Introducing Cooper!!!

This the new little man in my life. I know I am about 3 weeks behind the news but better laye than never. He was born Monday 4.1.2010.
Weighing in at 2770g and 49.5cm long. We have called him Cooper.

This is my latest newsletter work for The Scrapbook Establishment. I got to work with one of my favourite brands October Afternoon using their new range Farm Fresh. This is what I came up with 3 layouts and a few cards and still plenty of leftovers for a few more cards.

Lots to share

Well here I am finally updating my blog I know it is about time, but believe me there has been a lot going on around here.
Firstly we can finally call this place home we are all offically moved in and own this house. Yippee!! 2 months later but we got there.Secondly I finally got published for the very first time in Scrapbook Creations Issue 72 (November issue) silly me thought it was going to be in the December issue, so when I was flipping through my subscription copy I saw it in there and thought to myself "I've seen this page before!" Then the penny dropped and I was all excited I finally had one of my pages in a magazine.

Next my little girl turned 2 on Sunday just gone (6th December) I don't know where that time has gone but it went quick.

Next big news, as you probably saw on the sidebar there is a baby countdown. We found out about 2 months agao that I was approx. 20wks pregnant, so it has taken quite a while for both me and Kel to get over the shock and get used to the idea as we had only planned to have Lily and my stepson Jordan. It is supposed to be due 27th January 2010 but it could also appear that I may be further along than originally thought. Will find out more tomorrow when I go for another scan. But here is the babybump as of this morning.

Now for some scrapping stuff with The Scrapbook Establishment

It was ny turn again this week to set a challenge for the 12 cards of Christmas challenge going on at the moment. My Challenge this week is a colour challenge and you can only use the colour green.
Next is my latest newsletter work I got to work withBo Bunny Snowy Serenade papers. These papers were beautiful and thick and gave me a chance to scrap the few photos that I have of Kel when he was little. (Good thing that they were Santa photos)

And last but not least this month was my turn to do the Monthly Sketch for December.

Not much to share, have been way to busy to do any scrapping apart from my DT commitments. There is lots and lots going on in this household at the moment but nothing that I can really share on the blog as yet.So when I can share I will share.
OK back to the scrapping these pages are for The Scrapbook Establishment newsletter, I got to use the beautiful Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses range let me tell you it is absolutely gorgeous and very versatile, I got 4 layouts done and still had paper leftover. I really enjoyed these papers.

This week head on over to The Scrapbook Establishment as we are having a special baby shower cybercrop for Tanya one of my fellow DT's.Well this is only a short post as I have lots to get back to, will post again soon when I have something to share with you all.

TSE Newsletter Projects.

Well I can finally share what I had been working on for TSE.
I got to work with Carolee Creation's Gone Fishing papers. They are beautiful outdoorsy type papers, perfect for camping, beach and Fishing photos. Let me tell you I had a great challenge (I loved the challenge too though!) using these papers but am quite pleased with the finished results. The left over scraps were perfect for men's cards and just in the nick of time for Father's Day on Sunday.

My very first TSE Cybercrop Challenge

It is that time again over at The Scrapbook Establishment, my favourite time Cybercropping time! This month it is the theme 'Seasons" and I was lucky enough to be able to set one of the challenges for a Layout. So here is the criteria I came up with for my challenge.

1. Spring Things - I want to see spring things on your layouts like trees, flowers, birds, butterflies, animals, anything that is springy!

2. Bright Colours - I want to see lots of bright colours used.

3. Cutting out - by this I mean cutting out elements from patterned papers such as flowers, flourishes, leaves, anything you wish to cut out from your papers to add to your layout. ( If you look at the leaves on my challenge example you will know what I mean by this)

4. Handmade Embellishments - I want to see embellishments that you have made on your layouts rather than the already bought made ones!

Ok so this my Layout I did as an example of my challenge. Yes the photos are a little old they were taken nearly a year ago, but just too cute not to scrap.

Sadly though the Fantastic Ruthy Clarke has left the Design Team due to other commitments, she will be sadly missed from the team. A few pages to share. I have decided to do Beth's little challenge of creating 20 pages before I get tempted to buy any of the new stuff. So here is 2 pages to start my little challenge off.

Photo's from our Hong Kong Trip of course. A few of the photo's have jumped at me straight away and I had to scrap them. I am back to a little creative block again at the minute. Hopefully it passes in the next few days.

Page 1/20. The star ferry at Hong Kong I just had to scrap this photo of Lily that I took on the star ferry. It is just a gorgeous photo definitely one of my favourites taken.

Page 2/20. I got a new camera overseas and I was playing around with the rapid fire and naturally as soon as I saw these photo's I had to get them printed straight away so that I could have a play around. There is 12 photo's in total that I cut Lily out of and stuck on top of each other in there correct sequence. I love the finished result.

Well Hello to everyone! I am Back from oversea's and I finally have some photo's to share for you all to look at. I did try my hardest while overseas to update the blog but couldn't access a usb port on any of the computers to download the photo's so this is why you have had to wait until I got back home to do it. Well here are a few out of my 3000 photo's that I took in the 3 weeks that we were away, I hope you enjoy. The trip was great we all had a ball and were amazed by alot of the places that we went to and all of the history behind these places is very inspiring. My highlight was definitely the Great Wall of China it just goes on forever up and down the mountains as far as you can see. All of it I of course loved.

Well I will stop jibbering on and get onto the photo's. Here we go.

I know photo's first but I will explain below!!!!!!

We leave for Hong Kong and China this morning like in about an 1 1/2 hours to be exactYes I haven't fallen off the face of the earth have just been very very very busy getting ready for today. Packing, Washing, Working and all the rest of the usual stuff as well as being a little sick. I haven't even had time to do any scrapping which definitely isn't like me at all but I do however have these pages I can share now. I was asked a few weeks ago if I would be interested in being a guest designer for the inspiration newsletter at The Scrapbook Establishment.

I got to work with the new Imaginisce Twitterpated papers, very cute they are so this is what I came up with, I had to also do an OTP project too. Don't look to closly at it as I hate OTP and it definitely won't be the best you have seen, but it's passable.

Well sorry about the weird set up of this post my mouse has stopped working properly so I can't move the photo's to where I want them and I don't have time to fix it so it will have to do. Well I had better be off otherwise we won't be ready when the Transfer guy comes at 7am. 1. Be a Stay-At-Home Mummy.
2. Live in America and travel around while over there.
3. Get a bigger house or do some extensions to our house.
4. Scrap without interruptions.
5. Be self employed or own our own business.
6. Have a never ending fund of money in my bank account.
7. Organise and de-clutter my house to get rid of all the crap!!
8. TRAVEL! TRAVEL! TRAVEL!

My Guest Spot on Journal it Challenge Blog!

This page is for Journal it Blog Challenge #2 - Favorite word / Phrase. I finished it a little late too, but oh well I got it finished! I had to twist it a little and made it about all of the words that Lily can say at 18 months rather than 1 one in particular. I am sooooo happy with this page. I love everything about it, definitely a new favourite of mine. The butterflies I cut them all out individually on my Making Memories Slice Machine.

5 weeks to go Today!!!

It is 5 weeks Today that we are going to Hong Kong and China for 3 weeks. But between now and then I have my parents here visiting for about a week and as well as my FIL for 2 weeks helping around the house. As well as all the usual stuff like work and all the rest of the mummy chores we have to do everyday! I am starting to get excited now though! We went and exchanged some money the other day ready for the trip.

So I have been trying to get as much as I can get done on our America photos, so that I can scrap the new holiday photo's when I get back. So here is another page for our America album. it is Hoover Dam from the helicopter when we went on the Grand Canyon Tour.

This is another kit I have made for Fancy That Scrapbooking. It is a 3 page kit it includes materials and full instructions to make the pages. There is still a few left so be quick!

Look what my sweet Darling other half bought me!!

Look what showed up in the post this week!!!! My darling other half Kel bought this secretly on eBay from USA, without me knowing. He saw that I had been watching a few of them to see how much they went for and bid on one and got it for way less than half the price you can get them here in Australia for (that was with postage too). He deleted all the info so that I wouldn't know about it until it came. How sweet is my man????? Have had fun playing with my new toy it does what I want it to do for the moment. Until I one day upgrade to the creative cutter which won't be for quite sometime. ( I can't justify that big of a purchase just yet when I already have so much scrapping supplies to use.)

This is the card I made for my cousin down in Melbourne who is getting married this weekend.

I used my new memory slice to cut the scalloped circle behind the hearts.

Some scrapping and some cards!

Some more older photo's that I have been scrapping. My debutante ball. I am using all of the papers I already have in my stash to try and cut down. LOL!!! I still keep buying all of the new stuff though! LOL!! There is a pocket behind the photos with another photo and the card I got presented with.I got the idea of clustering the rub on journal blocks from Tatum Woodroffe's page in the latest Scarpbooking Memories. Love the effect it has.

I have an absolute mountain of scraps from my scrapbooking so I am trying to do some cards whenever I do a layout so that there is no scraps left and also so that I have a stock pile of cards ready to use straight away. So this is my very crappy attempt at card making. They are very basic but slowly I think that they are improving with everyone that I do.

This is my take on the Journal It Challenge Blog. This fortnight's journalling challenge was "When I was little". I knew just the photo I wanted to scrap. Me when I was in Preschool (1985)running in a race at the sports day. It looks like I am coming first but I'm not, I'm coming last. My mum even had enough time to run onto the track and take the photo I was going that slow.

TSE April Sketch Challenge!

I finally got around to giving the wonderful Ruth Clarke's Sketch Challenge a go this month over at The Scrapbook Establishment. This is Ruthy's Sketch for this month. And this is what I did with Ruthy's Sketch. I just had to scrap this photo it is too cute not to!

Also it is Cybercrop time again over at The Scrapbook Establishment. It starts tonight and finishes next weekend (Sunday I think). I love TSE Cybercrop time it definitely gets the creative mojo working again! Firstly Thankyou Everyone on all of the Congratulaions I have been recieving.
Next thing,I have been busy once again Scrapbooking. But this time for a change I have been feeling like doing some of my old photos from my childhood. Some of the photos are embarrassing but oh well you get that don't you!!!
This first layout I love. I have used some of the new Sassafras Lass Vintage Yummy papers and also a new Prima flower (gotta love them!). The photo is of me when I was about 16 months old (so about the same age as Lily is now) This next page is a photo from when I did my Debutate Ball back in 1996. I was 16 and you know when I showed a few friends the page they all commented how I still look the same and that I haven't changed at all. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not I know I get sick of people at work thinking that I'm only 20 when I'm really not that far off 30.(well next year I will be 30. But close enough to it for me)

I have some big news!!!

Hi everyone I have some really big news that I am so excited about I am busting at the seams with excitement I even did Lily's little happy jig when I got the news.

OMG I still can't believe it and I probably shouldn't be saying anything yet but I just can't wait to tell everyone one of my Layout submissions to a Scrapbooking Magazine has been accepted and they want to publish my Page. I won't say who or what Layout as yet but will keep you all posted as to when it will be in the magazine as it won't be for a little while yet.

I'm still in shock I never thought it would happen to me. I'm on such a high at the moment.

On the scrapbooking front here is another Layout I have done last week. It is for our America Holiday album. I was inspired by the Layout that Ali Edwards did in last months Creating Keepsakes so I scraplifted the Design of the page a little with the die cut paper at the top and bottom of the page.

I have another Layout I have just finished last night that I have to take a photo of and will post it ASAP. Thanks for looking and all of your comments.

I finally got around to sewing Lily's Easter Bag for her to collect all of her easter eggs. I am very pleased with the end result it does look better in real life than the photo. The Easter Bunny won't be coming to our house until about 1pm when I get home from work. I can't miss the opportunity of getting photos of Lily picking up all of her eggs off the front lawn. So lucky she is still to little to realise, next year I will have to take the day off. I did this layout last night and finished it off this morning.

My very first Layout for Fancy That Scrapbooking!

I am very, very, very excited about this news I have been asked to do Layouts/ Kits up for my local favourite scrapping shop "Fancy That Scrapbooking" here in Springfield Brisbane. I have just handed in my first kit and am getting started on another one for them. I will share the pics with you as soon as I can!
I have been busy with some other scrapping catching up on America photos, hoping to get the album finished before we go to Hong Kong and China in June! I will post the pics of my Layout as soon as I take a photo probably tomorrow!
